Up to $9.5 million to be awarded in new funding for gun violence prevention research
Funding Available for Scientific Research on Gun Policy and Gun Violence Prevention
The National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research today issued its second request for proposals (RFP) for high-quality research on gun policy and gun violence prevention.

The collaborative expects to award up to $9.5 million in total, funding 10 to 25 research awards, including six or more dissertation awards and up to two postdoctoral research fellowship awards.
With support from Missouri Foundation for Health, $1.5 million of this funding will be used to support Missouri-relevant research.
Applicants have until February 4, 2020, to submit a letter of interest, after which the collaborative’s independent Research Advisory Committee will invite full proposals from some applicants. Full details are available at ncgvr.org/rfp.
