The National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research is funded through philanthropic donations. The collaborative was seeded with a $20 million gift from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation. The foundation seeks to secure an additional $30 million from other philanthropic organizations to further support research on gun violence and gun policy.
